Surprises...

 Hello again,

It's that time of year again, some people love it and some dread it. I for one always seem to really enjoy my birthday! Whether or not any surprises are in store (and likely there will be, seeing as half of the ideas are partially directed by my son) I will always enjoy this day. The editing process for Almost Wonderful is complete, but that doesn't mean sit back and relax. Trying to cram in as much as I can before July 1st, and life is constantly moving. The books are now listed on the publisher's upcoming release page. Seeing this was a perfect way to start the day!
So far, in the last couple of months I have had the pleasure of running into both my first grade and sixth grade teachers. Of course, in a town the size of the one I live in, it would happen at the local grocery store. I will admit, in both of these cases I was stunned. The last thing I expected when I wandered in chasing after my son was to run into either of these two people. Both women played a large part in inspiring me to become a writer and I have missed them both! I had hoped my son would get to have both for a teacher just as I did, unfortunately one of the two retired this year. Even so, we have enjoyed a fun start to the summer. I can't wait to see what comes next! I love surprises, do you?
Happy summer everyone!

When it seems like forever...

Hello everybody!

I will start by saying, it has been awhile. For some months now I have been busily writing my latest novel, Almost Wonderful. I will readily say, sometimes it seems like the project itself takes forever, but at the end of the day it is always worth it! That great joy you receive when you finally see the finished product that you worked so hard to help create is such a wonderful feeling! For those of you who are new at the writing game, I know it can seem like a grindstone to chip at when you're writing a large book. It can be as exciting as a trip around the world or as painful as having a baby! From personal experience though, I will always say "Keep at it!"
Just recently I received the final cover for my upcoming book which will be released July 1st, 2015 and I can't wait to share it with the world! Thanks for taking a minute to share with me in that joy and happy writing!

For Awhile

Hello friends!

In the process of writing I often feel like I'm going two directions. I suppose that's why I have two hands. I am now working on a fourth book. A contemporary romance based in California, it has been a lot of fun to write so far. Though it most certainly has taken quite a bit of research it has also been much easier to connect with my characters on a deeper level. I am excited to get going with this and while I work with my third novel it has given me something more to focus on. I enjoy the more in depth concept and I love the chance it's given me to learn things about California that I otherwise, never would have known. The entire state is so beautiful, it's very easy to understand why anyone would want to live there, even if they are prone to chaotic weather. As a young actress, just starting out, Ellie Scott, one of my main characters has been really interesting to work with. She is far more fiery then the main character in my previous book. Though I had intended to have the main female character in my prior book be a little on the softer side, I also didn't enjoy working with her nearly as much as I do with lively women such as Ellie. I certainly couldn't see the two being best pals in any situation, that's for sure! Either way, both Ariel and Ellie have made for great personal entertainment. I will never argue, they keep me going fast on a daily basis!

The Waiting Game

Hello everyone,
Thanks for reading. I'm trying to get everything in even key so I may have a little bit of time between posts. Sorry about that. I'm still working on that third book. All polished but I am at that evil middle stage waiting for everything to fall into place. In the meanwhile I am working on a new contemporary, Goodnight, Manhattan Boulevard. I think I communicate a lot better with this girl. Ellie is a beautiful actress who had it going good for awhile but due to some really bad luck she now finds herself the fine owner of a lovely flower shop located on the edge of Hollywood. And to top it all off, the number one suspect in a bad murder case. Whether it be good or not in the event of being interrogated she meets up with a really sexy investigator.

Just short of going crazy over all this waiting, these characters have kept me in line. I will keep you up on the events and if I hear any news i'll certainly let you know. I'm working on a book trailer for Almost Wonderful right now. It is nearly finished but I don't really want to post it until I have everything confirmed. I apologize for the endless time period. Thanks for all your patience. Have a good November! I would love to hear from you!
