So far it has been a wonderful summer, even if I haven't taken a great deal of time to lounge by the pool with a martini in one hand and a fresh book in the other. Honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. It seems like I enjoy life far more when my wheels are spinning. I am thrilled to announce, I have officially reached and surpassed the first turning point of the plot for "A Lady by Nightfall". Between the renovation we are undertaking around our house, the new blog I have been keeping up for a little diversity, and the fight to keep up with my son, it was starting to seem like quite a long road to get there.
Due to the added layers of this book's storyline, I have had to put far more time into planning and examining the various turns so those features of the plot that are interwoven, are smoothly laced together. I always love a challenge, so I don't regret it for a moment. Even more to the point, I never get bored. That said, I am more anxious now than ever to see the finished project. No doubt, I'll have more information soon. For now, enjoy a little fun in the sun!
Have a wonderful 4th of July,
Adrienne

New Experiences
Summer once again fills the air luring many people towards the natural beauty of the outdoors. As for me, I look forward to resuming my daily bike rides. One of my favorite pastimes, an hour cycling along the roads always allows for the perfect opportunity to ponder both new and progressing ideas.
I hope everyone is enjoying reading my recent posts as much as I have enjoyed writing them. Though I have previously dipped my hand into freelance writing, I have never practiced the art with a consistent effort. I've come to find I derive great pleasure in the literary art. For as long as I can remember I have carried a passion for research- no matter the topic. Now I have found another outlet that allows me to put my talent to use. I love to hear from my readers. Do you have a particular topic you would like to see an article on? If so, you can email me at adrienne_davenport@hotmail.com or leave your comment below. I will be happy to oblige you in your interest.
Happy reading,

Finally Finished!
I will say I called it just about on the dot when I said it would take fifty hours. Now, I am thrilled to say my author website is officially revamped! After experimenting in certain aspects of webpage building I had no idea were anywhere near that complex I completely understand why people are paid so much to create websites.
That said, it was worth every second! Upon a closer inspection, the previous version of the page struck me as a semi-professional catastrophe put together by an uninformed teen. No surprise there since that's pretty much what I was when I originally built it. Please let me know what you think of the new look. Enjoy the face lift. I hope you love it as much as I do!
Talk soon,

Taking A Dive
It's been approximately a year since my family and I moved to a new home. Since that point nothing has gone in classic order. Of course, when you take into account the fact that my whole life has been a storybook in one form or another, it's not entirely surprising. Between piecing together another book one puzzle piece at a time and redecorating a house this has been frustrating at times. Prior to the move I always had more then enough time to focus my attention on one thing. Nonetheless I am slowly making progress in both fields.
I'm coming to find that as bad a rap as the trait has, stubbornness can be as positive as it is negative. It all depends on the setting. This realization came some months ago when I threatened to restore an antique hutch for the house. I told my dad and my son, "It'll only take a couple of weeks. It's well worth the $125 bucks!" Three months later the task didn't seem quite so simple, nonetheless I was thrilled that I had seen it through. That said, this is the same quality that keeps me pushing two things at once. I apologize for the extended time frame for the publication of this book- it is a first and, I can promise, a last. In the meantime here is a little casual reading to keep you busy: http://love.allwomenstalk.com/paris-in-a-handbasket-quick-tricks-to-help-you-set-the-mood. Recently I started working with this magazine. It seems they published the articles under my everyday name, Randi Fosse. I hope you enjoy the reading! Feedback is always welcome.

Chaos At It's Best
I once believed there was only one kind of chaos- that which is comparable to chronic Pneumonia. It drains your energy and impedes your progress. Now, however, four nieces, three nephews, and a son of my own later, it's amusing to realize just how wrong I was. With the past few months came a title wave of activity. Near the end of December I was on the verge of elation. My webpage was almost completely redone and the extensive character map I'd been working on for a month was nearly finished. Unfortunately things always come in threes. In my case the three happened to be a nearly irreparable computer crash, my dad going in for a serious surgery two days later, and a few unplanned trips that completely forestalled any forward movement.
Convinced fate was having some fun playing with my sanity I tried everything I could to divert my frustration from rereading my favorite book in the hopes of distracting my mind to constantly burning through my phone's battery in the hope of eeking out one tiny detail or another. When in the midst of the craziness I learned our family was gathering together for a post Easter celebration I was truly thrilled to hear it though already resigning myself to another few days without progress. By the end of day one I was so busy wandering about watching the kids that I could barely sneak a glance at the internet and by day two the kids were so wild and entertaining I'd started to not really care. It is this kind of chaos, briming with laughter and disorder, that is sometimes the best remedy for the pressure that comes with life and more often then not from ourselves. Though I am happy to be back on track, finally moving in the right direction once again, I am equally happy to have experienced the smiling tumult that lead me here.
Wishing you many smiles and warm laughter

Time to celebrate!
Ten kinds of candy, a "Grinch Stole Christmas" inspired tree, and a lot of busy hallways later I am very satisfied and thoroughly exhausted! Since I can first remember Christmas has unquestionably been my favorite time of the year. As a result I have made little progress with the completion of my new webpage or with much else to do with writing. I will admit the constant urge to simply sit down and write has nearly driven me mad, but it was worth every smile and cheer that was the result of all the hours spent on holiday preparations. If anyone had told me, when I was a child, that I would one day become the unofficial Christmas cook I would have laughed uncontrollably and told them they were mad. Fate however has a way of taking its own course. For many years my grandmother was overseer of all of these cheerful responsibilities- making all the delicious treats, putting together trays to deliver to loved ones, having the brightest house on the street. Sadly, a few years ago she passed away and heavy with grief no one held much desire to carry on with these time consuming traditions. In an effort to keep the tradition and the joy of the holiday alive I took it upon myself to pick up where she left off. Having spent most of my life preferring the smell of the engine oil as my dad worked on a car to the smells of a kitchen, it was the first time I attempted any sort of legitimate cooking. Since that point I have continued to perform most of the cooking, decorating, and some of the wrapping, each year. I love every moment and wouldn't take it back for anything- especially the glow on my son's face as he watching me work. As much as I enjoy this special time however, I must admit I am thrilled to put my fingers to the keyboard again. That said, the greatest accomplishments begin with a strong desire so it is the perfect way to start a new year.
Happy New Years to anyone reading this!

Live
Hello Everyone,
I hope you are all having as wonderful a season as I am! I don't dare risk calling it Winter yet, though I'm sure it is, in some places. My poor relatives in Minnesota when I call Forty degrees cold. I realize now just how much I take that for granted. Here in Moab we have the luxury of not shoveling our drive just to get out the door. This weekend was an especially wonderful one for me. This year, I was privileged enough to get to write the biographies for the musical artist who played at this years Moab Folk Festival. As a result I spent my weekend witnessing the various musicians performances in person. This is a very unique experience for me seeing as I usually writer fiction. To be able to experience first hand those people who I wrote about was an incredible experience. I will admit, I did get a tear in my eye once or twice throughout the performances- but only out of happiness! As much as I loved watching the artists perform, I enjoyed just as much being around other writers and artists. All these wonderful people are what made the experience so special. I am officially exhausted, but it was definitely worth it. I would like to think each one of you has a memory you hold close, that can make you smile with an equally bright glow, even on the darkest days.
Best wishes,
-Adrienne Davenport
